Black Wolf Bugaboo 70L Backpack.
This backpack has everything you need for a multi day hike! It is hydration compatible and has a built in rain cover. It only weighs 1.9Kg, so it is very light compared to some of the other models available. Made of a durable fabric and featuring the Ergo Plus Harness which allows you to carry heavy loads with maximum support and comfort. This backpack is a popular choice for serious multi day hikers including the Overland Track in Tasmania and the Kokoda Trail!

Note: If you are hiking with a friend, share the load and one person carry the poles and the other person carry the rest of the tent.
Ferrino Sleeping Pad
Gone are the days when you have to sleep on a yoga mat! This is the ultimate sleeping mat!

A 65L backpack is a good size for the trail.
Hiking boots are obviously best to go hiking in, but a good set of joggers is OK or a good quality set of sandles are fine too. Keep in mind, that there is a lot of boulder hopping, creek crossings (you may need to take your shoes off) and ruggered terrain, you need something with good grip that is extremely comfortable.
Yes. There is water available on the trail. It is recommended that you take water purification tablets with you, but quite often it is not needed. On the Thorsborne Trail Map, it is listed where water is available.
2Ltrs is a good amount to carry between the months of March – July. From July to December is is recommended to carry between 3-4Litres of water! Please phone us for an update of the available water on the Thorsborne Trail. Remember to stop and fill up when ever you can. There are many freshwater little steams along the way!
