Murray Falls is a great place to visit for the day. It’s a relaxing drive through the tropical lowlands at the foothills of the Kirrama Range. Murray Falls has enough to keep everyone entertained. There is bushwalking, camping or swimming in the clear waters of the Murray River. Murray Falls is a popular spot with Cardwell & Tully locals.
Murray Falls is well maintained with fantastic toilet and cold shower facilities. There are large grassy areas with fire rings and large shady trees. This is the perfect spot to set up camp for 1 night or 1 week!
Murray Falls has 2 different walking tracks available. There is a short River Boardwalk that takes you to a viewing platform where you can view Murray Falls. Or a longer walk known has the Yalgay Ginja Bulumi walk that takes you through the rainforest to the top of Murray Falls where you get a birds-eye view of the area. There is a range of ferns, mammals, frogs, reptiles and butterflies in this area and some fantastic birdwatching opportunities.
