Zoe Bay, located on the south eastern side, is one of Hinchinbrook Islands most magnificent locations. The tour begins with a spectacular one and a half hour boat ride from Hinchinbrook Harbour down the protected waters of the Hinchinbrook Channel to Zoe Bay or you can start from Lucinda.
The cruise provides unbelievable scenery through the Hinchinbrook Channel to the south then out to the open waters on the seaward side of Hinchinbrook Island en route to Zoe Bay.
To the south east you are presented with views of the close offshore islands of Pelorus, Orpheus and the Palm Isles group. In season Hump back whales are common to see.
The approach to Zoe Bay takes us past the prominent Hillock Point. The peaks of 1,121m high Mt Bowen (the island’s highest mountain) forms an inspiring backdrop to the gentle sandy shore of Zoe Bay.
The Bay offers a comfortable beach landing. A short walk (900m) from the beach, through the rainforest leads to the sparkling freshwater pool at the base of Zoe Falls. The pool provides for safe cool swimming.
The day is completed with a fantastic trip back to Cardwell or Lucinda.
Our experienced local crew will look after your every needs and provide a knowledgeable commentary of the history and facts about the region.

Hat, sunscreen, towel, camera, comfortable walking shoes, sun smart clothing, sunglasses, and a smile.
The walk is 900mtrs through rain forest and over rocks with one creek crossings. There is also two steep areas, however, we feel this is suitable for people with an average fitness level.
We have had 80 year old people do this tour and loved it.
